We are really excited to have a new Twitter logo designed by two young designers Adrian Leung and Edmund Ip of ad:ed design. You can follow them on Twitter at @adeddesign! Twestival is an event when the Twitter community across the globe made up 100% of volunteers gets together to raise money for charity.  Twestival Global which will take place on March 25 will be a day where over 200 cities will coordinate efforts around one cause.

What will we DO at Twestival??

Twestival is meant to be a night of social networking and fun among the Twitter community and beyond.  Drinking, food, music and fun.  We will have an auction and lucky draw with lots of great prizes raising money for CONCERN WORLDWIDE.  Since this is the center of the digerati community of Hong Kong you can expect some cool Tech features like a TweetWall, Ustreaming with other Asian Cities and some other cool things.

Hey Hong Kong! It’s that time again when the Twitterati get together to raise money for a wonderful cause.  March 25 we will come together with over 200 cities across the globe to raise funds for Concern Worldwide. Concern focuses on many things, but Twestival has decided to donate to the education arm of Concern’s efforts. Concern’s education, and programs currently reach over 700,000 people in 25 countries across the regions of Africa,  Asia, and the Caribbean. It focuses on the poorest, most marginalized women and children and helps to provide them with rudimentary education to help empower them to live better lives.

In the wake of the tragedy in Haiti this year, the world saw how powerful Social Media could be to do good.  One of our goals for this Twestival is to encourage non-Twitter users and the Hong Kong business community to come and experience the power of this medium to make changes in the lives of others.  Please spread the word, save the date, and join us on March 25.
