customizing new classes to suit every woman’s needs.

Concern and Twestival aims to raise money to educate the worlds’ poorest girls and this is one of the many important causes Planet Yoga is eager to support.

Chief Operating Officer Mike Apple shares, “Our goal at Planet Yoga everyday, is to help women feel
great about themselves.  Education is one of the many great way to help girls
become confident, healthy and beautiful women and so that is why it is important for Planet Yoga to support this cause.”

As a leader of women’s health in Hong Kong, the charitable event yogathon 2010 which benefits the HK Hereditary Breast Cancer Family registry is very close to Planet Yoga’s heart.  On April 11, 2010 Country manager for Yoga Kapil will be kicking off the event with a Pooma Hatha Yoga demonstation.  Planet Yoga members will be challenging themeselves both mentally and physically by participating in 8 hours of yoga.

Shanghai Tang Launches City Chic Digital Experience

Posted on: at 1612 - Comment

April 2010 – Shanghai Tang, China’s premier luxury brand announces the launch of a new interactive ‘City Chic’ digital experience that articulates the brand’s vision of contemporary Chinese chic lifestyle through an emotive tale of the ‘Love Restraint’ Spring Summer collection and recommendations of chic hotspots in China’s most buzzed about city of Shanghai; set against the musical backdrop of the newly released Shanghai Tang Lounge Music collection.

The bilingual English-Chinese microsite ( www.ShanghaiTang.com/SS10 ) captivates you with the lovers’ intense emotions captured within the campaign images of the ‘Love Restraint’ 2010 Spring Summer seasonal collection. You can explore the design inspirations behind the key looks with ‘Designer’s Talk’, see how the outfits move in the runway show videos, and click on to buy them directly online. Or download the wallpapers to ponder over the additions to your fashion wish list

Users can also download the ‘City Chic’ application for the iPhone or iPod Touch which is an interactive travelogue that maps out Shanghai Tang’s recommendation of hotspots for Chic Eating & Cocktails, Chic Shopping, Chic Arts & Culture and Chic Hotels for the brand’s home city of Shanghai. “We are thrilled to share insider access to all the wonders that Shanghai has to offer, through Shanghai Tang’s lens of Contemporary Chinese Chic,” says Raphael Le Masne, Executive Chairman of Shanghai Tang. “This innovative digital forum allows us to showcase our fashion collections alongside the city’s thriving pulse that inspires our designs.” The application also offers ‘Chic Vouchers’ that users can present to enjoy dining and shopping privileges such as redeeming a free travel journal from Shanghai Tang boutiques and discounts at The Shanghai Tang Café.

As part of Shanghai Tang’s multi-sensory brand experience, users will enjoy listening to samplers of key tracks from the newly released Shanghai Tang Lounge Music Collection CD, and register to download a free track titled ‘I Like it’. This music collection captures the spirit of genuine creativity - blending Chinese traditional tunes with contemporary musical arrangements, and features performances by rising Chinese divas and instrumentalists such as Isabella Huang Lin and Li Ya. The result is a cosmopolitan mix of music that is delightfully harmonious and joyous.

Most exciting of all is a competition launched by Shanghai Tang to celebrate this launch - Share & Win. Users have the chance to register a minimum of 3 friends to the site, where upon completion, they are automatically entered into a competition to win the grand prize of The Shanghai Tang City Chic Experience. They will enjoy 2 nights at The Puli Hotel & Spa in Shanghai, a modern Chinese dining experience in the newly opened Shanghai Tang Café, a personal shopping experience to redeem a full seasonal Shanghai Tang wardrobe, and a personally guided tour of the city of Shanghai.

Its available for iPhone and Android. And you can follow YiYi on Twitter @YiYi_HQ

BUT WAIT THERE’S MORE: It’s also a location-based app that helps you find venues in Hong Kong. We spoke to CEO of YiYi Hong Kong Limited Kris Marszalek for more info:

YiYi is a mobile service, that allows you to discover interesting places, events and deals near you. The app currently works on Iphone and Google Android based handsets, automatically detecting your location and pushing the most relevant information to your phone instantly. Different content is divided into what we call “Channels”, so you will have Restaurants channel, Nightlife channel, Events channel, Coupons channel, the list goes on - at this moment we have close to 50 different channels in Hong Kong. Users get the ability to set a custom deck of channels that fit their needs and interest (i.e. if you like hiking, you may want to add GPSies.com channel, which shows all trails around Hong Kong; if you are a tourist visiting HK for the first time, the DiscoverHongKong channel would be a good choice to see all the attractions nearby, if you are flathunting right now, Property channel will allow you to see all the places nearby to rent or buy).

It is the new Twitter friendly app that is all the rage taking the social media experience just one step further to geo-tagging our location.  What are we talking about?  Foursquare of course.  You can download the app on almost any smart-phone. When you check-in to Twestival Hong Kong at Stauntons you will be entered in an exclusive Foursquare Lucky Draw.

As Foursquare grows in Hong Kong, it is a great way to meet new people by “bumping” into them on the grid, seeing what venues have promotions on offer, or if you are a business, finding yet another way to connect with and get to know your customers.

If you are on Foursquare, Twestival is a great place to meet more people Foursquaring too!

For more than 40 years, Intel has been at the forefront of technology innovation and the Intel Foundation, a philanthropic organization founded in 1989, focuses on programs that advance education and improve communities worldwide. Intel believes that students everywhere deserve the skills necessary to succeed in a knowledge-based economy.

With improved teaching and learning environments, students are better able to develop the required skills. Intel has invested over one billion dollars to create programs and resources to help teachers teach, students learn, and universities around the world innovate—particularly in the areas of math, science, and technology. By providing funding for national and localized grants, the foundation helps fuel innovation in classrooms, empower women and underserved youth, and enables Intel employees to serve the needs of their communities.

The Intel Education Initiative is transforming math, science and technology education around the world, with free tools and resources for children from kindergarten age up through university. The Intel Higher Education Program provides innovative curricula encouraging students to pursue technical degrees and entrepreneurship programs that help move technology from universities into local communities. Other programs such as the Intel Computer Clubhouse Network and the Intel Learn Program reach beyond the classroom and into the community to help to educate, inspire and provide opportunities for children in otherwise underserved communities around the world.
